Decision: form ad hoc group to recommend revisions to CCR for Architectural review.

Common House sitting room & online, 3:00 to 4:20 p.m.

Open House Preparation

Sign-up clipboard passed around with tasks that need to be done in advance or during the open house.

Please everyone tidy up their porches and parking spots.

Samples of 'catch weed' or 'velcro weed'. 

Dandelions are good food for bees but we've got a lot more than needed for that purpose.  Try to get them before they develop the seed clocks.

Storage Space -- brainstorm

    Add storage units to be rented to back of east carports.carports,to be rented. In most units the area under the first stair landing is hollow.  Add cabinet doors.

    Common House. 

      The area next to the c.h. stair is hollow.  Could have cabinet doors added. Turning the piano to use space for table storage has helped.  LDS ward houses have storage area for trolleys of tables & chairs under the stage in the gymnasium.  The garden center at Sugarhouse Park has a storage room for trolleys of tables & chairs. ADA requires a five foot turning radius around the bed, which would complicate adding storage to downstairs bedroom. Cabinets at right of kitchen entrance (where trash is) could be removed/remodeled to put freezer there instead of back room. Window seat in sitting room is probably hollow and could have cabinet doors added. Deep, might work for game boards or need drawers. Recess on south wall of sitting room was intended for book shelves.

      Outside common house. 

        Add cabinets or coldframe to back porch.  (We have $500 from Naomi for a green house.) The dumpster enclosure southeast of c.h. on Utah street could be better used. The concrete pad between the common house and the dumpster enclosure was originally intended for something to be built on it.

        Approval for Sheds.

          Our CC&R say no sheds without permission without permission. Need to be consistent and treat all units equally.  Some units have sheds and others are told they can't have.  Some people say they were given permission but we don't have records (that we can locate/identify).

          The community needs an Architectural Review Committee (a subcommittee of Management) and need to have a place where permissions are kept for future reference.

          Committee Reports & Announcements

          Parents.  Got small play structure donated and have installed it next to c.h. play structure.  Got swing put back up.  Still working on repair/rehabilitation of old structure.

          Farmette.  Holding work parties and planting things. Got 2 cubic feet of compost.

          Management.  We have been contacted by company acting as conservator for Carol.  They will be clearing her unit.  They asked permission to use all-terrain vehicles to haul stuff along path. They will have a dumpster in east parking lot.

          Landscaping.  Kellie, Kay & Scott did repairs on drip system west of common house & north half of west berm.  Vinnie got sprinklers to run on back lawn.

          Scarf-painting.  Linda will be holding a scarf-painting party maybe next month.
