Policy for donating items to the common house

Loaning or Donating Items

If you wish to donate or loan an item to the common house, please contact the Common House Committee first. DO NOT leave items in the common house without first speaking with the committee. 

The Common House should not be used for personal storage.

Items that are on loan to the community should be added to the Items on Loan to the Common House page.

Getting Rid of Items

If you want to get rid of items in the common house, please speak to the CH Committee first.

When the CH Committee is getting rid of items in the common house, the procedure is:

    If the items are on loan:
      Notify the person who donated them that they have 1 week to reclaim their items. After 1 week, the committee will get rid of the items. Take pictures of the items and send an email to the community to see if anyone wants them. After 1 week, the he committee will get rid of the items.
