Action Items

    Vicky will work on getting seed approved by city.  SLC Turf Trade, 5 lbs covers 1,000 sqft, $8.50+tax Saturday, February 3rd, work party Early April mow/weed whack (Easter is March 31) Can reduce budget request, $1K tree work and $200 equipment (wheelbarrow).

    Work To Be Done from Now until June

    Vinnie has a 10-ft pole saw.

    Trees.  Get guidelines set up for tree selection and planting locations.

    Tree Trimming

      Overhanging branch west parking lot south end. Will need lot mostly empty. Trim 3 plums in dog run, 3 plums in front of Crown fourplex.  Northmost plum is rubbing solar panels. Tree behind Amy/Chelsea, branch is touching neighbor's roof.

      Tree Removal.

        Make plan to permanently remove elm trees in swale west of common house. Almost dead tree (flowering pear) east of Unit 25 Assess stump breakdown efforts Dead fruit tree in dog run Dead tree on west berm, have to be a licensed arborist because city property

        Irrigation

          Assess east garden hydrant (yard hydrant) Assess west berm irrigation Change east berm irrigation to drip (valves changed to drip) Inventory irrigation parts in garage. Mary found some Deep Drip watering spikes for trees at ReStore, for use with a drip system. 50c small, $1 large, much cheaper than from company.

          Misc. 

            Aerate lawns. Reseed lawns.
            Clear branches from west berm so it can be mowed (gas mower) in April. Check status of repairs on wheelbarrows.  After Halloween, call Wheeler Farms to ask about straw bales from maze;  When sledding ends, call city park service 385-468-7275 for bales at Sugarhouse Park .
