ACM Planning Committee Minutes Mar 30, 2025

Feedback/reflection from prior ACM

Committee meetings aren’t ACM meetings. 

Idea behind the prior ACM was to have an opportunity to coordinate between the major committees and make sure the entire community knows what’s going on and was discussed and planned at length. Wanted an opportunity to involve people who aren’t usually involved in maintenance/landscaping/CH/etc. to be in the know. We also have community members who don’t want to attend committee meetings but are willing to help.  

Why can’t committee reports during ACMs handle the coordination? Committee reports are often not done well. Committees tend to not come prepared to report, and efforts to change that haven’t worked well. Can we communicate that again to the committees? 

There are so many meetings. Useful to be able to merge a meeting with an ACM. Felt like a good two-way exchange of information. 

One of the things we’ve said as an ACM Planning Committee is we’re ok trying new things, and not all of those things will work out or work perfectly. Not all topics will be pertinent to everyone.

Still haven’t worked on our values. Need values to guide us. Need to move forward on it. 

Can we make ACMs more fun?

Future ACM topic suggestions:

  1. Reserves - why we have it, how much we really need, what it’s for
  2. Community care team - Neighbor care, not healthcare. Creating a more formal care team, boundaries
    1. What are our boundaries?
    2. Also be in the know about services/resources the city offers
    3. Can we get brochures, documents, etc. from other communities that have implemented care teams?
  3. Wednesday June 11 ACM - Pineview Reservoir getaway
