All-Community Meeting, Sunday, April 24, 2022

Present: Mike (fac), Coleen, Ben, Kay (notes), Linda, Laura, Lorraine, Vicky, Beth 4:00, Lauren 4:15.

Values

A couple of years after move-in (2002? 2003?), the community came up with a values statement. This 
was a process over a number of months, plus a weekend retreat.  We’ve read through them from time 
to time but never revised them.  Suggestion:  proposals should always say how the proposal supports 
our values.

Break-out discussing first six values.  How have we seen these put into practice?

Committee Reports

Management discussed pay’r’work.  Will be issuing invoices for those who didn’t submit hours in 
March.  Not a lot of hours submitted yet for April.  Okayed cleaning upstairs windows c.h. and workshop.

Common House.  James (JJ). Jessi, & James’s brother installed the TV that Diana donated.

Announcements

Show and tell of common weeds:  goatshead or puncture weed; cheevers or catchweed/stickyweed; 
large-leafed plant with sticky hairs on stem.

White awareness group met Thursday. Alex will send out a podcast to be discussed at next meeting.

Vicky needs assistance cutting up two long boards, ~2x8, that won’t fit in the dumpster.

Bring over giveaways today or tomorrow. Anything not claimed will be taken to donation Tuesday.

Vicky would like feedback on having AFS J-1 visa high school exchange students use the c.h., possibly 
sleep over, for their orientation.  Will be a chaperone for sleepover.  Possibly on the fall.  Something 
we’ve hosted before.  Would be a change from our rules during the epidemic.
