Community discussion

Lynda: The community is 25 years old and a lot has changed and so have our needs changed.  Brainstorm about what’s changed, unmet needs, how to use spaces differently?

Tobi: A lot has changed in the past few years, very HOA heavy at the start, less community focused, would like to request everyone to be open to new ideas even if they have been here a long time.

Concerns

Storage for bikes, hobbies, camping gear, skiing

Theft - storage units, porches

Bikes and strollers are expensive

Table storage in CH

Garage and Workshop not useful in current state

Grass outside of common space requires mowing, water & care

Upstairs space in CH

Security of locks on any new sheds or buildings

“Recycling” shed

Potential Changes

Garage, Upstairs

Fences for dogs

Workshop more useful

Area behind East parking for storage

Doors on carports

Birdseye view could reveal unused spaces that could be used for storage

Gates on community entrances

Personal sheds  - in backyard

Private drive at entrances

1 ACM per month, 1 social - or more social events

Enclose back patio of CH for storage

Garage as place for storage

Maximize utility of what we have - garage, workshop

Remove things that are unused in workshop- hazardous waste, not stored well

Outside staircase to Yoga & Gym

Rethinking open space outside CH

Resurrect the underutilized space committee

Keep inventory to keep track of things

Timeline for how long we keep things before revisit to keep/giveaway

Shed for infrequently used low value things, garage for high value

More creative about already existing spaces, regularly

Share more with each other to perhaps need less of our own

Turn “recycling shed” into a covered bike parking space

The more spaces are used the more people will maintain it

Bike area behind unit 25?

2-3 families rent a shared unit off site for temporary

Kerry: This will not be decided by Management, is a group decision

Kay: Storage dominated the conversation, can we revisit the other needs that the community?

Lynda: Storage will still be conversation, but do kids have what they need?  What’s going on with the CH upstairs?  We need to continue to all of these conversations
