Security
Continued from July 12 ACM.
CPR classes $50, held at fire station in Sandy. Next available classes are Nov 1, times 9:00-1:00 & 6:00-10:00. register on-line at sandyutah.gov. Encourage as many people to attend as are willing.
Last Monday Alex arranged to have Glen's Keys install 13 latchguards on storage units.
Some ideas:
- Can get an alarm that will go off if the storage door is opened without de-arming it.
- Know what is in your storage unit so you can file for insurance.
- A metal sleeve over the door edge and a plate over the gap can discourage thieves.
- Repaint name at driveways in reflective paint.
- Signs at each entrance, community name, "Private Drive - No Thru Access".
- Towing sign & arrangement with towing company
- Car hang tags
- Community sign - solar lights, reflective tape, reflective backing
- Solar lights on sign Steve Hyde made.
- Sign for guest parking so guests don't park in covered spots
- Address on signs, 1411 Utah & 1408 Cheyenne (workshop's address)
- Sign about 24-hour surveillance
- Cameras (possibly false or not active)
Concerns
- With towing idea, concern about delivery people or visitors who don't have marked vehicles.
- Concern about "Private" or "No Trespassing." Can say "No Thru Access" or "Dead End" without "Private".
Signs would require a proposal. A proposal for street-type signs was approved a number of years ago, although with community turnover may need re-discussion.
Safety & Security will prepare a proposal.
Committee Reports

A page on the wiki has committee meeting schedules; you have to be logged in to see it.

Storage Bin
A couple of proposals are in the works. This is a good time to do proposals before we get into budget season.
Fire pit. Ban on "spark" fires, not on propane etc. Kay had drafted a fire pit/fire policy proposal last year & will find it & send it out.
Question: Should we continue having a zoom option for meetings?
