To Unlock the Door

Wake up the screen by pressing the bottom left.  A checkmark and two (random) numbers will appear.

Press the numbers.  When the full set of numbers light up, enter the passcode number.

The lock will open.

To Lock the Door

Pull the door snugly shut. 

Press the lower left of the screen to wake it up. 

Press the lock icon. The door will lock.

To Change Batteries of Inner Office Door Lock

Need 4 AA batteries, a small Phillips screwdriver, and key or code to open the door.

On inside or latch-side of door, remove the three screws holding the cover, one on the bottom and one on each side. They are tiny; don't lose them.

Pull cover outward to remove.

Lift battery compartment from top of lock using handle.  Remove old batteries and discard.

Insert four new AA batteries, paying attention to polarity. Each slot has an etched drawing showing the orientation. The flat end goes on the spring. The batteries will alternate direction.

Insert the battery compartment into the top of the lock, with the batteries toward the door and the handle up.

Test that the lock now works, locking and unlocking it.

Place the cover back over the lock mechanism and replace the screws, starting with the side screws. Wiggle cover as necessary to align screws. Leave screws just finger-tight.
