June 7 Meeting Minutes
Meet with representatives of community committees; stump grinding, north wild space, solar power, sprinkler repair, workshop wifi, pay or play, deck cleaning, linseed soil, fire safety, defibrillator
Committees were asked to join the meeting to see the Wiki and start to report there when meetings happen. Ben will create a template for committees and clubs to report. Representatives were asked to add to their committee wiki with members, mission statements and later to report on minutes. The Wiki link is on the button left of the same form with Pay or Play reporting.
Alex - Stump Grinding
- Stump Grinding - Needs an additional $2,800.
- Arbor Concepts availability is tomorrow or next Wedneday 6/15/22.
- Stumps are on a map that will be shared with management to grind stumps.
- Moving forward tree care is essential to avoid a large amount of trees that need care.
- Next year, we would like to look at the budget and moving forward allot tree work to a different budget (reserve analysis)
- Request to have Arbor Concepts to give an estimate for future tree care.
Kellie - Wild Space
- Concerns about wild space behind units (Amy, Kelli and Thomas) and concerns about wildfire potential.
- Emilie was asked to talk to the unit owners to determine if the area needs to be cleaned to prevent potential fires.
- Amy has grown native plants in the area and it is Amy’s adopt-a-stop.
- Kellie shared that the area would like to be kept native and a space for wildlife.
- Unit owners would like to keep that area wild with the idea that maintenance will be kept up to make.
Solar Power
- Transformer needs to be upgraded.
- Derrick from the solar power company is still getting back to us at some time about the transformer.
- Utah Clean Energy (Sarah Wright) would like to help if needed and Vicky met with the mayor (Erin Mendenhall) and said that they have an initiative that could maybe be used as a resource. Ben will reach out to Derrick again and see where we are in the process.
Sprinkler Repair
- The sprinkler repair people were here and hope that the few issues that we had are fixed. Management was ask at our last meeting to look into a few issues that were happening with sprinklers. Therefore a company came out to check out the issues.
- Google line was cut by accident. New cable is not yet burried. The repair people contacted google and it should have been fixed.
Workshop Wifi
- Beth and Ben are working on getting wifi to the workshop. They will keep working on this.
Pay or Play
- Will be addressed at the ACM.
Deck Cleaning
- We are just waiting till June and July to have dry decks. Instrucional videos will be on the Wiki.
Linseed Oil and Painting
- Scott will get the materials and give training on what needs to be painted.
- Help will be needed to paint and linseed the wood near all units.
Safety and Security
- Joe reported that fire safety should be a main concern and we need to make sure we are mowing and weedwacking.
- Automatic defibrillator ($400) for the Common House. Money is in the budget to potentially repurpose the money to buy for safety.
